Warren Beatty, star and director of Dick Tracey, the colourful ´90s film adaption of a comic strip by Chester Gould, is working through the court system to get back the franchise rights. He recently won the first round. Interestingly, Warren Beatty put as many characters from the comic into his original film as possible incase there wasn´t a sequal - a far cry from today´s comic adaptations. If superhero movies were written as ensamble casts, then you could throw as many villians in as possilble.
